Desert TrekSponsor Moish's Desert Trek!
A Young Israel of West Hartford Fund-Raising Event

  • On April 25, 2005 (First Day Chol Hamoed Pesach), YIWH financial officer Mark (aka Moish) ventured forth "from Egypt."

  • His goal is to travel (on his treadmill) a distance of 1,139 miles (the distance that the Israelites walked through the desert 3,317 years ago*).

  • He hopes (G-d willing .. his treadmill, legs and the rest of him should stay healthy) to "cross the Jordan River into the Promised Land" on Erev Shavuot the following year, June 1, 2006 ... exactly 400 days** ... 10 days for every year the Israelites were in the desert.
Please sponsor this unique event in the history of synagogue fund-raising!!
